Some of the Movies and TV book adaptations coming in 2019

2019 is coming with a large new variety of movies and tv shows made after books, while 2018 had some great ones, 2019 comes with even more.

There’s a list of movies and Tv adaptations made after books that have actual release dates in 2019 or have been filmed and announced that they’ll affirmatively be released in 2019.

Five Feet Apart


Release Date:  22 March 2019

“Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott is a YA romance about a boy and girl who both have cystic fibrosis and fall in love. Due to their weakened immune systems, they must stay five feet apart at all times. The film adaptation stars Cole Sprouse, Haley Lu Richardson, and Claire Forlani.”

Chaos Walking


Release Date: 1 March 2019

“In the near future, Todd Hewitt has been brought up to believe that a viral germ has killed all women in a colony world and unleashed Noise, the special ability to read people’s and animals’ minds. Later, he comes upon a patch of silence and soon discovers the source of the silence: a mysterious woman named Viola Eade. On the run, they learn more about the true history of the New World.” The film adaptation stars Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley.



Release Date: 12 April 2019

Release Date: 17 May 2019

Release Date: 6 September 2019

The first part was a huge success but it was just a part of the book. In the sequel, the first film’s childhood friends return home as adults to confront the supernatural killer Pennywise the Dancing Clow. Starring Bill Skarsgård, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy.

Game of Thrones Season 8


Release Date: April 2019

Like the previous season, it will largely consist of original content not found currently in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and will also adapt material Martin has revealed to showrunners about the upcoming novels in the series, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. The season will be adapted for television by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Filming officially began on October 23, 2017, and concluded in July 2018. The season is scheduled to premiere in April 2019.

The ABC Murders


Release Date: 1 February 2019

The adaptation will be staring John Malkovich and Rupert Grint (Ron in Harry Potter movies).

    I am very happy for Game of thrones, but I’m really sad bcs this is the last season 😦 I am also waiting for The sun is also a star, I have the book and I am going to read it sooner, before the premier of the movie.
