Blog Tour Meet Me in Hawaii by Georgia Toffolo

Totally dreamy, funny in all the right places, and unabashedly romantic. I loved it!’ – Laura Jane Williams, bestselling author of Our Stop

Where an ocean of love awaits

Malie Pukui doesn’t believe in happy ever after. After a tragedy caused her to flee her family and friends in Devon she found a fresh start in Hawaii. Here, working at a surf school, she can give back to those in need and try to overcome the greatest loss in her life.

Moved around foster homes throughout his childhood, Todd Masters has worked hard to be able to offer a brighter future to young disadvantaged children. Now he has his own charitable foundation working with a surf school in Hawaii, a job he loves, but he still can’t put his past behind him.

When Malie rescues Todd from the sea a spark ignites between them, and the two wounded souls find a common ground. But amidst the surf, sunsets and sizzling kisses, can Malie let go of her past and risk something she’d locked away forever… her heart

Meet me in Hawaii follows on from Georgia Toffolo’s first book Meet Me in London. This time focusing on Malie while she works at her uncle’s surf school in Hawaii. I have been looking forward to this book since reading Meet Me in London and this did not disappoint. While Meet Me in London is the perfect read for Christmas, Meet Me in Hawaii gives you the perfect mood for summer vacation. I read this sequel while outside it was raining, so obviously it made me crave for the summer with its hot sun and warm beaches.
Malie is a feisty, independent woman who is trying to cope with a lot of life changing events. She’s left her parents and their closed surf school in England after the death of her brother and come to Hawaii to teach surfing. She’s also dealing with the aftermath of a road accident with her friends in which she was one of the only people to walk away unscathed. Malie realises she is falling for Todd but can’t let herself due to the accident that killed her brother and the fallout with her parents. Todd is also falling for Malie, but he has his own demons. This can be read as a stand alone, but there are some references to the first book as Malie is best friends with Victoria, Zoe and Lils.
This is clearly a very light book that you should read when you want something quick and fun, that does not require your full interest and devotion. Was this book cheesy? Of course it was, what do you expect from a romance contemporary? But I decided to read this particular book because it was cute and full of love and unrealistic standards and this is the fun of it. As I was saying, the perfect read to clear your mind and relax. Hopefully, you’ll read it on a beach so you can relate with the actual feel of the book.

Thank you Mills and Boon for the book.

Meet me in Hawaii is now out and you can find it online or in bookstores ( if you’re not in lockdown)
